While it is true that the pandemic has been incredibly difficult on clergy members, The Reverend Dr. Kelly Hough Rogers found a hidden blessing in the lockdown and shift to working from home. Suddenly, she had far more time at home with her family and they were able to create some new family rituals. Without evening meetings, she was home for dinner every day. Her family adopted a dog and they started going on family walks which gave her added time with her husband and sons.

Even in these wonderful times with family, the outside world and her responsibilities to her parishioners cannot be completely forgotten, so the grief and anxiety of life during COVID appears in the black and yellow leaves in the trees.
