Am EchadBound represents the bond that all Jews have to one another. On the front of the piece are images of the things that make me feel connected to Judaism including holiday celebrations and prayer. On the back are the items which make it difficult for me to connect such as the inequality of women and complex laws. The piece takes the shape of Israel (representing the people Israel) and is wrapped in tefillin, symbolizing the ways in which we are bound to all aspects of the religion and all the forms it takes.
