AgunahAccording to Jewish law, when a man and woman divorce, the man must give the woman a get. If he refuses, the woman remains trapped in a broken marriage, unable to move on with her life. Such a woman is called an agunah. In this quilt, therefore, the rings, a once solid and unbreakable symbol of marriage, have turned into nothing but broken glass. Yet, these empty, hurtful rings are still locked tightly together with no way to separate them from one another.
