Siddur Covers and Wimples
Last month, I had the privilege of working with fifth and sixth grade students at Temple Beth El of Northern Westchester and Westchester Reform Temple. At WRT, students received siddurim (prayer books) that they will use throughout their studies to Bnai Mitzvah and beyond. To make the day more special, they created covers that reflected their feelings about prayer, Judaism, and their journey to becoming bar/bat mitzvah. Below are a few examples of the finished covers.
The students at Temple Beth El made wimples for the Torah that said something about their Jewish journeys and the things that are important to them. Below are some examples of the pieces they created.
