Threadworks At Blue Door Art Center

Threadworks at Blue Door Art Center

This weekend was the opening of Threadworks at the Blue Door Art Center. I am excited to have two pieces included: Shattered Childhood and In Search of Home. The exhibit is open through July 14 and there is an open house on Thursday, July 5 from 5:30-7:30pm.

The exhibition is packed with fabulous work. Below is a sneak peek of some of my favorites. Eva Camacho-Sanchez has two thought-provoking pieces in the show: The Scars We Carry on the left below and Enough on the right below.

Wen Redmond (below left) and Rukhshan Haque (below right) have work that always pulls me in for a closer look.

Kathryn Luciana‘s wool landscapes are stunning and Ruth Marchese‘s translucent work vibrates with color.

Vicky Stein‘s Sight Lines series thoughtfully plays with photography and thread adding dimension, texture, and movement to the images. And Lea Weinberg‘s wire mesh sculpture Tree Tango provides a new story from every angle.

See these and so many more at the Blue Door Art Center through July 14!
