Third Graders Inspired by Israel
Third graders at the Jewish Community Center of Harrison have been learning about Israel. Last week, they came together with their families to create art about their favorite place in Israel. Once the pieces were complete, we framed them in 11″ x 14″ frames and they will be hung at an exhibition of student art in the spring.
The student below visited Israel in September for her brothers’ Bnai Mitzvah at Robinson’s Arch. Their art piece shows that location with two tallitot and the Hebrew year.
The young artist below decided to think out of the box and made a three-dimensional piece to represent the Kotel and Shuk.
Both of the students below were inspired by the Jordan River.
The pieces below were inspired by the Dead Sea and Eilat.
And last but not least, a piece about Tel Aviv.
They are excited to see their work hanging in the student art show this spring!
