I had a wonderful day today with the WCA New York Chapter visiting some incredible artists in Harlem. We started at the studio of painter Noreen Dean Dresser where photographer Allicette Torres was also showing her work. There we had inspiring and thought-provoking discussions about everything from politics and social justice to art and what it means to live the life of an artist.
From there, we visited several other artist studios through the Harlem Open Artist Studio Tour. I always love seeing artists’ studios and talking with them about their work and process. Now I’m energized to return to my own studio and finish Temporary Shelter.
